The post below this forgot about James labrie and dream theater LOL.
Mike portnoy- he’s got about 20,000 notes to play and he’s onlyworried about the feedback spots
John petrucci- I’m telling you, if you miss the feedback spots it ruins the whole show
alright im just going to say it. fuck it, its my opinion.
images and words in my opinion is not dream theaters best album.
musically speaking its one of their most boring.
BUT im not calling the album its self bad, better then most shit made in the past 20 years.
they got so much more progressive in metropolis pt 2
and so on.
So I might be the only one who thinks this
And I could probably be wrong.
But I think the old man in the song is either
A. The miracle.
Or b. the sleeper.
I lean more towards the miracle.
Has some god damn thought provoking lyrics.
“Justifying violence
Citing from the Holy Book
Teaching hatred
In the name of God”
Is when i really got a little raped
“Does following faith
Lead us to violence?”
Is when I thought for awhile and came upon the conclusion that alot of wars are from religious basis.
“Any day we’ll all be
Swept away
You’ll be saved
As long as you obey”
The rapture. And that’s pretty much literally what the rapture means.
Idk man sometimes dream theaters lyrics are just down right creepy good.
White Bones, Black Flame - Sorilegia

HOLY FUCKING SHIT.
HAVE You ever read the Wikipedia page while listening to the song?
IT’S ONE GIANT MIND FUCK.
I understood the song as its meanings,
But holy fucking fuck dream theater so much unimaginable musical genius and sub meanings and coincidences were put into this album that a team of Albert Einstein’s should have composed this. WHAT THE FUCK? Where do people even get the ideas for this shit, I don’t understand. If you don’t think dream theater is tHe best band in the world your wrong. I respect opinions, but fuck opinions, this song is GOD.
Basically razors edge solo is THE living breathing example of perfect harmony in a guitar solo.
